What is the idea behind ITales?
The basic idea behind ITales is to provide an editor and a platform where users can create interactive stories without any programming knowledge, while still offering a high degree of flexibility.
The editor makes it easy to add a wide variety of interactions to a story—features that would either require a significant amount of programming in other editors or simply would not be possible at all.
The goal is to create and publish stories that go beyond simple decision buttons, giving the experience more flexibility and making it feel more dynamic.
At the same time, the platform includes a dashboard where players can track their progress in the stories they have started and compare their progress with other players.
Will it be possible to generate stories with AI on ITales?
In short, no.
I deliberately decided not to include a feature that allows users to generate complete interactive stories using AI, for one simple reason: I personally do not want to read or play AI-generated stories.
Will using the editor and playing stories be free?
The editor will be free to use up to a certain point. However, there will need to be some limits depending on factors such as the amount of media files a user has uploaded, since storing data and hosting files naturally comes with costs.
There will be interactive games that are completely free to play, while others may require payment depending on their scope and content.
Can I download the games I create and host them somewhere else?
Yes. You will be able to download all games you have created yourself.
The game, including all of its media files, will be downloaded as a ZIP file. It can then be played offline in a browser or uploaded and hosted somewhere else.
